A COMMISSION PAINTING - ORIGINAL

I would be delighted to hear from you if you would like to commission an original painting.  I think paintings have a marvelous way of communicating your story, and the sky is the limit.  I have done commissions that reflect a family tree and the history of that family.  Some pieces talk about someones' career and the special things in their life that they want to commemorate.  Generally we start with a general discussion about what you are thinking, and then by brainstorming we finally work out an idea that you love.  From that point I research book titles, movies, etc., that flesh out the idea.  Once you've decided on the idea, I collect the books or objects involved and set up a still life.  I take a good number of pictures and then narrow them down to the best compositions. You get to review the composition and choose the one you like the best.  As I progress with the painting I photograph the progress of the piece and you receive the series along with the certificate of provenance when it is complete.  Pieces can be as complex as the book and game paintings which contain several objects, or as simple as one important item that has meaning to you.  If a subject can be completed successfully on a smaller canvas I will be happy to accommodate you.  Please contact me to discuss works that might be smaller than those listed here.
